I had the opportunity to create various promotional items for Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU). I have redesigned the logo for the Management Excellence Program and created custom prints for The Goodfriend School of Business. I  designed undergraduates graduation invitation at Tennessee Wesleyan University. I have designed business cards and stationery for employees of the Management Excellence Program. The Goodfriend School of Business visited the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and I had the opportunity to write a press release for the newspaper and university website along with creating a recap video of the students’ experiences.

Tennessee Wesleyan University, founded in 1857, is dedicated to helping students live a meaningful life. TWU was founded in 1857 and offers more than 30 undergraduate and graduate programs in industries like business, education, health professions, and science. A multitude of service-learning opportunities provides all TWU students the change to grow as leaders and set a foundation for lifelong meaningful achievement. TWU has additional campuses in Knoxville, TN for the nursing program and in Cleveland, TN for the Management Excellence Degree. Through strong academic programs, service-learning opportunities, student organizations, and athletics, TWU helps students become enlightened servant leaders who believe in serving others, pursuing knowledge and leading by example.

On Monday, October 23, students from the Goodfriend School of Business at Tennessee Wesleyan University visited the trading floor of the New York Stock Exchange. The students who took part in the trip are in the Financial Investments course at the University. Students in this course are pursuing a degree in Business Finance. This experience has given the students real-life expectations while pursuing this career.

“What an awesome experience being “on the floor” of the New York Stock Exchange with the Goodfriend School of Business students at TWU. This has been an unbelievable experience for these students and I cannot believe we were given this opportunity,” says Dr. Martha Maddox, Associate Dean of Goodfriend School of Business.

Visiting the New York Stock Exchange was the highlight of the trip. The students had the opportunity to visit many landmarks around New York City in their free time. Students visited Ground Zero, the Freedom Tower, the Brooklyn Bridge, Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and the Statue of Liberty.

“The New York Stock Exchange was an experience of a lifetime, and I am honored to have taken part in it,” says Megan Jones.

The students were all thankful they had this opportunity. Haley Mitchell says, “36 hours, 37,622 steps, 1 state, millions of memories, and an experience of a lifetime!”
